Coping with a LACK of #progressonparkford
We’ve had A LOT of work take place in the last few days. It is such a good feeling to see things finally coming together. I thought I was prepared for things to take longer than I expected, but it has definitely been tougher than I imagined it would be.
A few months into our renovation things basically to ground. to. a. halt. I avoided the place all together for a several weeks because I just couldn’t bring myself to go look at the same wood studs… again… and see that we still weren’t ready for inspection.
Waiting is hard for me. Continue reading “Coping with a LACK of #progressonparkford”
A Letter To My {White Male} Children Following The 2016 Election
Up until this year I have been fairly apathetic towards US politics. I believe that most politicians are generally more concerned about their personal self interests (and those of the corporations and rich constituents that support them) than what is best for the people that they are representing – regardless of the side of the aisle they stand on. Her response to my poorly thought out plan has pretty much been playing on a constant loop every day since then. “But you’re always going to have a to-do list. When will enough finally be enough?” Sadly, the message didn’t quite sink in at the time. I left thinking, “yeah, BUT…”
Favorite Finds for Taking it Easy

Late last year I decided that I had finally had enough. It was finally time to commit myself to a few life changes aimed at reducing my overall stress levels. While my progress has varied to date, I have come across a few things that I have completely fallen in love with since this quest began. These have become definite must haves for me! Free Printable Disney “Bucket List”
When I was planning {what hopefully was} our first trip to Disneyland one of my main concerns centered around my son, who was 4 at the time. Continue reading “Free Printable Disney “Bucket List””
Money Saving Strategies for Disneyland
In planning our trip, I was a little surprised by how many fewer reviews and recommendations are out there compared to Disney World. There are a few really great ones, but few and far between compared to its counterpart on the opposite coast. While we are still very new to the Disney vacation world, I thought I’d share a few of the tips and tricks that we picked up during our trip!
