Late last year I decided that I had finally had enough. It was finally time to commit myself to a few life changes aimed at reducing my overall stress levels. While my progress has varied to date, I have come across a few things that I have completely fallen in love with since this quest began. These have become definite must haves for me!
Reversible printed capri pants . A good pair of comfy pants is always a must, am I right? I absolutely LOVE these reversible capris that I found at Sam’s Club. I know there are a lot of loyal Costco fans out there, but I am definitely a Sam’s girl. The only problem is that every time I go I usually end up buying a few extra things that I probably didn’t need.
Case in point? These pants. But I do not regret my decision for one minute. They also carry some work out pants under a brand named “Tangerine” that I am a huge fan of. Super affordable, comfy, thick, durable, etc. Unfortunately they were not listed on their website or I would have shared those here as well!
The Wet Brush. My husband left his brush in a hotel while he was traveling last fall, and we have been sharing one ever since. Luckily, I came across this little gem when I was looking for filler items on a recent Amazon Prime Now order. Honestly, I don’t know why it took me so long to find this brush. IT IS LIFE CHANGING. As someone with long thick hair, I have ALWAYS struggled with tangles and the joy of my brush getting stuck while I’m brushing it.
NOT with this brush though! It gets the tangles out SO quickly, and without any hair pulling! It’s amazing. My husband has been threatening to take it for his own ever since I got it. Apparently it is much more gentle than the average brush and feels better for him as well, haha.
Zach Nytomt. How adorable is this guy? Some friends of ours invited us over to a neighborhood event recently one Friday evening for some drinks and live music. These things can sometimes go either way when you’re going to listen to someone you’ve never heard before, but Zach did NOT disappoint. He even won my husband over early on when he played a little Hayes Carll.
Zach has some new music coming out towards the end of this summer. He gave us a sneak peek at a few of his songs and they were great. Can’t wait for them to be released!
Devil in the White City. It had been a while since I allowed myself the time to read a book written for someone over the age of 6. I got this one as a gift for Christmas, and finally got around to reading it around spring break. It is a great read! I work in Construction, so one half of the storyline appealed to me in a way that it may not appeal to everyone but it truly is a captivating book either way. Interesting too to realize how something that happened so long ago, that many of us are only vaguely familiar with, still impacts our lives today. I highly recommend!
